SVPAZ Board Chair Reflections

Dec 27, 2016

As outgoing board chair of SVP Arizona, I am inspired.

I am inspired by the hard work and dedication of the board to continually grow, refine and innovate, which in turn has created a significant evolution for our organization. We spent the last two years getting feedback from Partners, Investees, other foundations and community members to position SVPAZ with what we will need for the execution of launching projects and programs in 2017 and beyond.

I am inspired because right now is another turning point. The board leadership team, with input from Partners and others, have created a vision and path for what can come next. With our new board chair, Patrick Armstrong leading the way, I am confident great things are ahead for SVPAZ.

However, the most important part of our future success is the engagement of our Partners. SVPAZ Partners, along with the staff, are the key driving factors. I urge every Partner to take action and be responsible for your own engagement. Find out what you are passionate about. Then decide how you can make a difference toward that passion, for a day or a year or more.

So when the clock strikes midnight on January 1, 2017 (if you are still awake), take a moment to consider how, with the support of other SVPAZ Partners, how you can change the world.

The next step is yours!
