Putting the Philanthropic Pieces Together

Oct 8, 2017

With all the noise in the world today, our voice can get lost and priorities askew, which is why we’re bringing back SVP 101.

SVP 101 is designed to give our Partners – new and veterans – an overview of our philanthropy model, methodology and process {the pieces to the puzzle!}. During the program, Partners have an opportunity to participate in a fun and rewarding philanthropic initiative.  This hands-on opportunity makes an immediate impact in our community and affords Partners the chance to meet fellow SVPAZ Partners in the process.  The culmination of the program is selecting a deserving nonprofit organization in our community to receive a one-time grant of $2,500. No additional monetary investment is required from you to participate in this program.

The time you invest will be approximately ten hours beginning Tuesday, October 17 and culminating on Wednesday November 8. Total, there will be two meetings and participation in on-site visits of three local nonprofit organizations.

The proposed schedule is as follows:

Introductory Meeting | Tuesday, October 17 |9 to 10:30 A.M.

SVPAZ Offices, 2201 E. Camelback Road, Suite 405B Phoenix 85016
Meeting to learn about the grant review process and distribution of the nonprofit grant applications.

Site Visits |Tuesday, October 24 & Thursday, October 26

Selection Meeting | Wednesday, November  | 9 – 11 A.M.

Meeting to select the $2,500 grant recipient and introduction to other SVPAZ engagement opportunities/affinity groups.
