This past Wednesday, we had the pleasure of hosting an SVP Investee grant writing lunch and learn session with Jeremiah Smith, a grants professional. During his time with us, Jeremiah answered the burning questions our investees had in regards to grants. Michael Shelton, the Board Secretary for SVP Arizona Investee Tigermountain Foundation, said “I found it very useful and came away with two pages of notes of good information and helpful advice.”
Thank you Jeremiah for sharing valuable information with our nonprofit investees!
A native of Arizona, Jeremiah fell in love with nonprofits as a freshman at Arizona State University. Inspired as a tutor in the America Reads tutoring program, Jeremiah developed a commitment to at-risk and underserved children, youth, and families in his community. This passion for change led Jeremiah to complete his Master’s Degree in Public Administration at ASU and support some of the largest nonprofits in Arizona as a grant professional consultant. He has secured over $10 million in funding in the last five years working with nonprofits throughout the country. Jeremiah primarily focuses his efforts locally, creating a better Arizona for his daughters and the generations to come.
