Lead Partner Update | September 2016

Sep 12, 2016

LeadPartnersOn Wednesday, Sept. 5, a few of our Lead Partners gathered to give an update on current nonprofit Investee organizations. Our Lead Partners mentor our Investees to ensure the SVPAZ mission to cultivate effective philanthropists and strengthen organizations is upheld.

Our current Investee portfolio includes:

  1. One TRUe LOVe (OTL), mentored by Alison Lewis. Currently working on developing a business plan through a strategic partnership with Experience Matters. Partner Jill Goldsmith is doing executive coaching with ED, Krysten Aldridge, and Partners Brian Scott and Julie Johnson are advising as OTL looks to find a dedicated office space.
  2. Tigermountain Foundation (TMF), mentored by Vance and Nancy Marshall. Currently working on developing the earned income/social enterprise piece of TMF while also building administrative infrastructure.
  3. Bloom 365/Purple Ribbon Council, mentored by Diane Walker and Carol Clemency. Currently working to monetize its training as a source of earned income while expanding programming to make deeper connections within schools. Partners Seth Anderson and Patrick Armstrong have been instrumental in its success.
  4. Spot 127, mentored by Julie Johnson and Richard Skwarek. Currently almost complete with expansion to the east valley location. Students should be engaged by October with full programming launching in January.

These are just snapshots of the impactful work our investees are doing. And true to SVPAZ’s model of engaged philanthropy, these Lead Partners give countless hours to the organizations we invest in to ensure success. They are such a valuable part of the SVP team and we are thankful for their expertise.
