Carrick Sears has been a commercial real estate advisor and broker since 2009 and currently is with SVN Desert Commercial. His extensive knowledge and experience in both real estate and finance provides clients the opportunity to strategize in a comprehensive way, ensuring they make the most educated and confident decisions in regards to their commercial real estate holdings.
Carrick grew up on a cattle ranch in a small town in northern California and obtained his B.S. in business administration with an honors concentration in finance and a minor in economics from Saint Mary’s College in the San Francisco Bay area. Prior to moving to Arizona, Carrick was a corporate finance and corporate real estate professional with over 10 years experience for various companies including Longs Drugs/CVS Drugstores, DHL Worldwide Express, Hewlett-Packard, Gap and U-Haul. In 2008 he moved to Arizona and obtained his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. In 2011, Carrick earned his CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member) further enhancing his skills with analyzing investment properties and consulting, using the full capabilities of finance and strategy.
Currently a resident of Central Phoenix, Carrick is active in local organizations and is currently on the board of the Greater Phoenix Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, serving as Treasurer. Carrick was previously on the board of the National Teen Leadership Program for 15 years, on the board for One N Ten for four years, serving as Treasurer and Vice Chair and has been active in Kiwanis and Rotary International serving as Treasurer and Social Chair previously. With his wealth of experience in fundraising, strategic planning and non-profit leadership, Carrick enjoys helping non-profits grow and thrive. He was looking to get involved in an over-arching non-profit organization that helped a handful of other organizations; an umbrella type organization that would help other non-profits be more productive, efficient and effective in our community. Carrick said, “When I heard about SVP applying a venture capital philosophy to social causes, it was like hitting bingo for me!”
