Operations Manager

Mission: SVP Arizona cultivates effective philanthropists, strengthens nonprofits, and invests in collaborative solutions – building powerful relationships to tackle our community’s social challenges.

Using a venture capital approach to philanthropy, SVP Arizona provides expertise and funding to emerging and growing local nonprofits that are working to make children successful.

Objectives:

To provide time, talent, and treasure to local nonprofits who are:

● Creating educational opportunities for youth in our community

● Ensuring all children are safe and supported physically and emotionally

● Increasing children’s access to health and wellness services

● To provide educational events for our Partners to learn best practices and to discuss topics that will provide them with the knowledge to be great philanthropists

● To provide social events to solidify the comradery of a group of engaged philanthropists working together to create the community that they want and need.

Role Summary:

This entry level position with room to grow will manage the infrastructure and systems needed to support SVP’s strategic objectives, program implementation, and our Investee portfolio.

The Operations Manager will have a wide variety of functions including but not limited to program management, finance reporting, and grants management. Working in collaboration with the SVP team, this role will ensure the team, Investees and Partners succeed.

● Ability to move quickly in a quickly changing atmosphere

Salary Range and Benefits:

$40,000 – $45,000/year.

Success Outcome #1

Operations Management

Serve as the point of contact for internal operations and management to ensure efficient management of day-to-day operations of the organization while maintaining a strong values-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide reports and minutes for Board and executive committees, membership committee, and CEO and DOE.

• Work with our tech support to ensure all security and infrastructure is maintained

• Maintain website information and updates and Virtuous CRM system

Success Outcome #2

Investee Management Support

In partnership with the DOE, oversee the grant application process. Ensure that programming reflects the values and vision of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage applications, scoring, agreements, and grant disbursements for SVP investees.

• Manage communications such as calendaring, reminders, etc for Investee events to ensure attendance and track in Virtuous system.

• Schedule site visits and meeting space for all Investee opportunities

Success Outcome #3

Finance and Reporting

Working with the CEO and Arizona Community Foundation ensure the organization maintains transparent and accurate financial records and procedures.

• Upload transactions to Quickbooks for internal reporting purposes only (ACF maintains official bookkeeping). .

• Prepare quarterly invoices for Partnership renewals

• Submit all accounts payable to ACF timely payment and Record and report all receipts for credit card statements

Success Outcome #4

Partnership Support

Working with the CEO and DOE to create best practices and procedures for comprehensive Partner engagement that enriches the partnership and provides them with information they need.

• Ensure consistency and up-to-date information within our Virtuous system including document tracking, hours, and gifts.

• Assist the DOE in creation of both a Partner and Investee directory and its maintenance. 

• Manage calendaring of committees and meeting spaces

• Support the team and the Connections Committee with a maintained inventory of materials
